Today we celebrate the Reformation, remembering the accomplishments of Martin Luther and other reformers of his day, who sought to hold the Church accountable for clearly communicating the truth
of God’s Word. That truth teaches us that the Gospel of God’s love in Jesus Christ sets us free from sin and death. God accomplishes our salvation in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. On account of this, we are set free to be the people of God, to work in His kingdom, and to live in His love as His called, redeemed, and forgiven people.
