Ministries at LCS
There are tons of ways to get involved at LCS. Click on any of the tiles below for more information!
Missions
Missional living is at the heart of who we are as Christians. We are here to know Christ and make Him known through how we live, through acts of service, and by lifting up others in prayer. We have a variety of mission opportunities and are always looking for new ways to share the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Christian Education
We believe that it is important to know what you believe. We join together through study of scripture, fellowship with each other, and prayer, with classes and discussion groups for people of all ages.
Youth Ministry
Youth in grade 6-12 gather together with “Friends in Faith” once a month for a fellowship. Activities include Bible Study, service events, meals, or an action-packed activity such as laser tag, scavenger hunts, or a trip to nearby Kimballs. We partner with youth from area LCMS congregations so new friendships can be formed as we have fun. Check our calendar frequently for updated activities!
Christian Fine Arts
The Christian Fine Arts Ministry at LCS exists to glorify and proclaim Christ through various art forms. It is also an on-going celebration of the many gifts and talents God has lovingly bestowed on this congregation. Throughout the year there are many opportunities to share your special gifts with our church family.
Women’s Bible Study
Ladies come together to study God’s Word and how it pertains to their lives. They study Scripture, share and discuss important points and topics, apply what they learn to life situations, and pray together. Join us Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 am. All are welcome!
Men in Prayer
Join the men of LCS in Luther Hall the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 AM year-round to spend time in devotion and prayer for each other and for our congregation. Breakfast is served, and it’s always delicious.
Lutheran Women’s Missionary League
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) focuses on encouraging all women to work together with LWML national in order to develop and maintain a greater missionary consciousness and thus serve to increase knowledge of and enthusiasm for missionary support and service.
Women’s Ministry
A variety of events take place year-round, social and educational, for women of all ages — dinners out, museum tours, brunches, book studies, and much more. The first weekend of October, we host a Women’s Ministry Retreat and the first Wednesday of Advent we enjoy an evening of fellowship to prepare our hearts for the coming of the Savior — Advent by Candlelight.
